At Pecan Square, we have designed our community around natural social interaction between residents young and old. Unlike a traditional suburb or neighborhood, multiple community-centric amenities are onsite. And our full-time, on-site Lifestyle Managers plans over 300 events and activities every year to bring residents together. Plus, there are tons of resident organized clubs and groups.

Pecan Square by Hillwood has earned multiple awards since inception as a planned community in Northlake. In 2022, Pecan Square won a Silver Award for Best Lifestyle Program and Best Welcome Center at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Awards. At the Dallas Builder’s Association in 2021, Pecan Square won 10 McSAM Awards, including Lifestyle Program of the Year.
Behind all of the neighbor connections and successful events is Candace Culver, our Lifestyle Director. At both the NAHB event and McSAM ceremony, Candace won Gold for Lifestyle Director of the Year.
Candace Culver brings over eight years of marketing experience to the team with a specialty in building meaningful relationships and digital communities. She’s worked in publishing, corporate retail, and a bit of education too! Candace developed her expertise developing brand relationships with media, influencers, and digital audiences for Wisteria and several outdoor adventure brands. She’s a career creative who thrives on finding inventive ways to bring a community together.
She’s a lover of anything outdoors, art of any kind, classic rock, red dirt country, two-stepping, photography, and books! Candace holds a BA in English from Texas Woman’s University and her favorite word is serendipity. She has three dogs: Cooper, Parker, and Willa as well as 11 chickens!
